Do I need DMARC?
Yes if you send to Gmail or Yahoo in any volume. Since 2024 both require bulk senders to publish a DMARC record, and without one your mail is easier to spoof and more likely to be filtered.
Is p=none good enough?
It satisfies the minimum requirement but doesn't stop spoofing. Use it to collect reports, then move to quarantine and finally reject once you know every legitimate sender passes.
What does rua do?
It's the address that receives daily aggregate reports showing who is sending email as your domain and whether it passed. Without it you're flying blind.
